This winter, PEdAL Ed have released a road orientated collection focused on intelligent layering and weather resistance and tested it extensively in the Pale Mountains. Set in the Cadore, the Pale Mountains surround Auronzo di Cadore, a picturesque commune around 120 km from Venice.

Weather can change quickly at such high altitude; the Kobe Thermal Jersey, Fuji Team Jacket and Nachi Waterproof provide a trio of winter options that cover all eventualities. The Kobe, warming yet low profile, sits perfectly under a heavier jacket or as a top layer early in the season; the Nachi, in wet conditions, keeps heavy rain or mountain mist off; and on long, cold rides or when climbing to high high altitude the Fuji offers complete protection. Versatile and designed for long, road rides, PEdAL Ed's top layers feature a two rear pocket construction - perfect in winter, as gloved hands are forever fiddling in the narrower pocket trio.

In addition to the superb top layers, the new Team Winter Tights are everything tights should be: warm, supportive and dependable on frost-bitten days. Zippered at the ankle and with wind-resistant panelling around important muscle groups, the Team Tights are the perfect partner for PEdAL Ed's long sleeves.

Padded for warmth on the outside and comfort on the in, the Thermo Winter Gloves are indispensable in winter and easily stashed in autumn and spring when the sun breaks the dawn frost.
